Zusammenfassung

Oracle in Nashville is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff to help build Lightweight Infrastructure for compute, storage, networking, identity, observability, and governance in Autonomous OCI. You will design, implement, and optimize distributed systems for scalability, resiliency, and operability across a cloud platform.

Responsibilities include system design, reliability, automation, and security, with a strong emphasis on scalability and incident response.

Qualifikationen

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience building reliable services, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one systems or backend language (Java, Go, Rust, C/C++, Python).
• Rust experience is a strong plus for compute and systems-oriented roles.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, concurrency, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
• Experience or interest in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, Linux systems, containers, storage, networking, security, schedulers, control planes, or management planes.
• Ability to design, build, test, and debug reliable software in a large, evolving codebase.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and ownership mindset.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and optimize components in distributed systems for scalability, resiliency, and operability.
• Deliver features and load/performance tests and review peers’ implementations for scalability.
• Build fault-tolerant paths with replication and automatic failover; implement retries and timeouts.
• Create tests, alarms, dashboards, telemetry; write runbooks and participate in incident response and RCAs.
• Develop automation/IaC for troubleshooting and maintenance; apply security controls with compliance in mind.
• Collaborate on system design and architecture across multiple domains and teams.
• Maintain documentation and participate in change management.
