Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer Sr to support system of systems integration for a SATCOM system. You will perform system analysis, define interfaces, and coordinate development across engineering teams in a fast-paced mission-focused environment.

The role requires deep experience in systems engineering, agile processes, and the ability to navigate complex interfaces while maintaining baselines and baselined requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related field–or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
• Experience in agile development process, roles, and rhythms (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
• Documentation clarity producing concise, version-controlled ICDs that ensure traceability, compliance, and seamless cross-disciplinary integration
• Analytical rigor in interface allocation, verification & validation planning, and impact assessment to proactively mitigate integration risk
• Demonstrated experience coordinating effectiveness enabling cross-functional negotiation, consensus-building, and alignment of competing interface requirements
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

• Perform system analysis and interface definition for your assigned subsystem
• Coordinate technical product development and reviews through the design lifecycle
• Collaborate with subsystem design engineering teams to drive design evolution
• Review and provide input into trade studies for enhanced subsystem design and capabilities
• Establish and maintain functional, allocated, and product baselines
