Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer for the SEIT team to support the development, verification, and integration of a next-gen MILSATCOM system. Multiple locations available; position contingent on program award expected in 3Q 2026.

You will lead requirements allocation, verification planning, and design reviews across system, hardware, and software domains, coordinating with a broad team to ensure compliance with DoD security standards and program goals.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Systems Engineering experience.
• Requirements allocation, flowdown, verification, and/or VCRM development experience.
• Familiarity with DOORS and/or CAMEO.
• Experience documenting Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Experience working on Satellite or Ground Segment programs.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Requirements and Verification Engineering for the next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system.
• Develop, allocate, flow-down both performance and functional requirements from the system to its constituent segments and elements.
• Coordinate closely across the SEIT team and with lower-tier systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure a comprehensive allocation and understanding of the system requirements.
• Develop verification and validation plans; lead the applicable verification and validation activities ensuring the systems both meets requirements and performs as needed.
• Support/lead key program design reviews.
