Job summary

Jobgether in the United States is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Infrastructure & Security to maintain and secure an enterprise environment. This fully remote role focuses on managing a mixed Linux/Windows fleet, security compliance, and vulnerability remediation across on-premises and AWS, delivering reliable operations.

You will collaborate across development, database, customer support, data center teams, and external partners while contributing to audits and federal compliance

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• Hands-on experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
• Windows server administration experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with STIGs, SCAP, ACAS vulnerability scanning, and PKI certificate management.
• Experience monitoring system performance and capacity across on-premises and AWS environments.
• Understanding of OS patching, security compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and external partners to resolve operational issues.
• Experience with PKI certificate management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and coordinate day-to-day priorities for the enterprise systems and infrastructure environment.
• Administer, maintain, and support approximately 34 servers, primarily on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with some Windows servers.
• Perform quarterly and annual security compliance activities involving SCAP and STIGs.
• Manage PKI certificates, including tracking expirations, renewals, and installation.
• Execute weekly ACAS vulnerability scans and drive remediation.
• Monitor OS and middleware performance; plan capacity expansions as needed.
• Apply OS patches and updates to maintain security and stability.
• Monitor AWS infrastructure performance and support optimization efforts.
• Respond to audit requests with technical information and support compliance activities.
• Coordinate with data center personnel to resolve SLDCADA-related issues.
