Job summary

Sabre Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Ford Class Launch and Recovery Fleet Support Team (FST) for EMALS and AAG programs, with duties spanning troubleshooting, technical analysis, and readiness assessments. Remote position with on-site attendance at Norfolk-related facilities possible.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a DoD Secret or higher clearance, and US citizenship, with travel under 10% annually. Compensation ranges from $135,000 to $160,000 annually.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in a technical or scientific field or BS/BA with 4+ years of related experience.
• A.A.S. in Electronics Technology with Electrical Engineering specialization.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, 3+ related to DoD/DoW systems.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior Systems Engineer supporting FST Lead Engineers and Site Lead.
• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot fleet issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure EMALS and AAG readiness through inspections, maintenance, and assessments.
• Create and review technical directives and bulletins; plan logistics and spare parts.
• Support supply chain operations including procurement, inventory control, and distribution.
• Document requirements and coordinate with stakeholders to align program objectives.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure disciplined SE practices.
