Job summary

Sabre Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Remote) to support the Ford Class Launch and Recovery Fleet Support Team focused on EMALS and AAG programs at Naval Lakehurst, NJ, with <10% travel. The role involves troubleshooting, technical guidance, and ensuring readiness across fleet systems.

The ideal candidate has DoD/aerospace experience, a DoD security clearance, and strong collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders in a fast‑paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Technical or scientific MS/MA degree from an accredited college or university.
• Or BS/BA with 4 years of recent relevant experience.
• Or A.A.S. in Electronics Technology with electrical engineering specialization.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, 3 related to DoW systems.
• Defense, aerospace, or government program experience required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a supporting Senior Systems Engineer to FST Lead Engineers and Site Lead.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve fleet issues, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Support core FST products and services to identify deficiencies impacting fleet readiness.
• Ensure operational readiness of EMALS and AAG through inspections and assessments.
• Create and review technical directives and bulletins.
• Plan logistics to ensure spare parts, tools, equipment, and data packages availability.
• Aid in supply chain operations including procurement and inventory control.
• Gather and manage requirements from stakeholders to align with objectives.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among teams and contractors to follow Systems Engineering practices.
• Identify and document readiness and sustainment risks for EMALS and AAG.
• Prepare clear technical reports, SITREPS, briefings, and action items.
• Contribute to integrated master plans and schedules; track milestones.
• Review lifecycle documentation from design through disposal.
