Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Indian Health Service EHRM program. The role is fully remote for US-based candidates and focuses on device engineering within the EHR modernization initiative.

The position requires 5+ years in IT project support, Oracle Health experience, and a Public Trust Level 5 clearance. Travel up to 25% is possible, with a strong emphasis on documentation, security, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience supporting medium-to-large IT projects.
• MUST have experience with Oracle HEALTH
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Must have experience developing solutions to a variety of complex device engineering workstream problems
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, if needed.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to completion of device engineering workstream programs and projects
• Develops solutions to a variety of complex device engineering workstream problems
• Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end
• Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining biomedical and end user devices with customer
• Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to device engineering projects
• Oversees continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
• Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, especially biomedical and end user devices and the Oracle Health EHR system
• Works cross-functionally with other program workstreams such as cyber and implementation
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
• May serve as a team or task lead
