Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking an Information Security Analyst Sr Advisor to support the Indian Health Service from a remote location within the United States. The role emphasizes security design, policy creation, and coordination with government security teams to ensure robust protection of information systems.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in IT security implementation, SDLC familiarity, and certifications such as CISSP or CISA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT Security, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• IT Security implementation and monitoring required.
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of federal security policies (FIPS 199/200, NIST 800-53).

Responsibilities

• Provide support for DHHS information security.
• Assist in design and implementation of security infrastructure and fire-wall related issues.
• Analyze information systems for security in design and architecture.
• Support IHS development processes with security assessments.
• Assist with counter-measures and mitigating controls.
• Create and maintain System Security Plans and related documentation.
• Manage responses to POAMs for government systems.
• Stay current on security requirements and communicate impacts.
• Serve as liaison between GDIT and customer security teams.
