Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to provide full lifecycle systems engineering leadership for radar and hypersonic programs in aerospace and defense. You will develop requirements, architectures, and MBSE artifacts, interfacing with customers and internal teams.

The role requires 11–20 years in the field, DoD clearance (or the ability to obtain), and experience with MBSE/Cameo, trades studies, and system verification across SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited engineering university.
• 11-20 years of relevant industry experience.
• U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or higher (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in radar systems and/or hypersonics; UAS experience a plus.
• Experience with MBSE and Cameo is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements, designs, and verification documentation.
• Analyze customer requirements and allocate to system/subsystem elements.
• Develop system architectures and perform trade studies.
• Create interface definitions, system schematics, and system description documents.
• Develop and execute system verification and MBSE processes.
• Lead or support SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR reviews.
• Prepare proposals and presentations; perform peer reviews.
• Develop and review test plans and reports; support HWIL testing.
