Job summary

Itron is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Managed Services team in Australia. This role focuses on application support, incident management, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer-facing production environments across Windows and Linux.

You will work closely with customers, product teams, and technical specialists to ensure reliable service delivery, own incidents through resolution, document findings, and participate in weekend on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications or IT systems.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• SQL querying and data analysis capability.
• TCP/IP networking, DNS, firewalls, and connectivity troubleshooting basics.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide application management, administration, and operational support for production environments.
• Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Perform root cause analysis for issues across applications, infrastructure and integration.
• Manage support cases through their full lifecycle, ensuring timely updates.
• Monitor system health, performance, and service availability.
• Troubleshoot issues involving OS, networking, databases and app components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution and improvements.
• Document troubleshooting findings, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in scheduled weekend on-call rotations.
