Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support agile development of Windows and cloud-based solutions as a Product Owner for the Mission Planning and Decision Support OU. The role involves defining interfaces, data flows, system architecture, and delivering new capabilities.

Qualifications

BS or higher in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics from ABET-accredited university.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance (investigated within last 2 years).
Experience in systems engineering activities: concept/workflow development, interface analysis, requirements development and management.
Experience as Product Owner on an Agile software development effort.
Ability to work on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Perform functional and timeline analysis, requirements maturation, interface definition, detailed trade studies, to translate customer requirements into software specifications.
Develop engineering artifacts, drawings, documentation and support generation of reports and CDRLs related updates.
Develop User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for the mission planning products.
Work closely with software development team to implement new capabilities and ensure requirements are met.
Support iterative development of UI/UX concepts and designs with customer feedback.
Ensure compliance with engineering processes and standards and contribute to technical problem-solving efforts to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
May include travel to other locations.
