Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer — Product Owner to join the Air Traffic Business Area within Homeland Sector, supporting the Leidos Common Automation Platform (L-CAP). This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, with potential for 100% remote if commutable distance is not met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 6+ years
• Experience with Agile methodology, principles, and tools
• Experience as Agile Product Owner owning and prioritizing backlog
• Ability to decompose complex requirements into testable items
• Strong understanding of disciplined engineering processes
• Experience writing, testing, debugging, maintaining software or scripts
• Experience designing cloud-based systems
• Experience engaging customers to understand needs and manage expectations
• Experience in SAFe organizations with PI planning and cross-team coordination
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• U.S. citizenship required
• Successful completion of background investigations as required by government

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the backlog for one or more Agile teams
• Review FAA standards and requirements to extract intents and acceptance criteria
• Decompose platform needs into testable features with acceptance criteria
• Maintain traceability from requirements to verification
• Engage stakeholders to identify use cases with testability and readiness for validation
• Define PI objectives and participate in PI planning
• Communicate design decisions and risk assessments with release teams
• Prepare and review technical documentation
• Coordinate with RTE, Product Management, systems engineering and Test to manage dependencies
• Lead and participate in reviews and inspections
