Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Systems Engineer to support onsite at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. You will deploy, configure, and maintain secure Windows and Linux systems in a DoD environment, integrating with developers and security teams.

Responsibilities include managing SQL Server instances, applying DISA STIGs, backing up databases, and supporting cloud resources. A DoD clearance and 7+ years of federal experience are required or highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience deploying and maintaining server operating systems in a secure Federal environment.
• Active CompTia Security+ certification.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Windows based web application servers and SQL database servers.
• Proficiency in Windows Server installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in SQL database management systems (DBMS).
• Active DoW Secret clearance.
• Able to work fully onsite based upon client needs.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain secure Windows and Linux systems.
• Configure web servers to host multiple applications and deploy code to production.
• Administer and deploy SQL Server instances and databases; develop and execute SQL scripts.
• Back up and restore databases; manage database permissions.
• Assist with managing cloud-based resources and developers’ access to apps/workspaces.
• Support the physical security team with access tokens and routine checks as needed.
