Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks an IT Systems Administrator in Chantilly, VA to support a multi-vendor Linux-based environment. The role involves designing secure configurations, deploying hardware and software, and maintaining cybersecurity tool sets, with up to 10% travel to remote events.

Ideal candidate has Linux expertise and DoD compliance experience. US Citizenship and Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years directly related experience in IT systems.
• Experience in Linux and Windows system design, security baselines, and server OS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new system and network solutions or improve current information systems.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and support information systems and networking gear.
• Configure routing and switching to maximize efficiency and security.
• Document equipment failures, repairs, installations, and removals.
• Investigate faults and provide corrective actions.
• Coordinate with third-party providers for services and troubleshooting.
• Perform capacity planning to meet growing demand.
• Coordinate and execute scheduled upgrades.
• Document and maintain ATO documentation and security artifacts.
