Job summary

Apple Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a systems and platform engineer to build on-device ad delivery components across the Apple ecosystem. This role focuses on privacy-by-architecture, OS-level daemons, frameworks, and SDKs rather than UI.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to design, implement, and optimize high-performance, privacy-preserving on-device solutions powering ads for App Store, Apple News, Stocks, Maps, and Apple TV.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
Deep understanding of OS fundamentals on any platform; Apple experience not required.
Experience with cross-process communication.
Strong knowledge of concurrent programming, multi-threading, and avoiding races.
Experience building and operating high-performance client SDKs or libraries with versioning and feature flags.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design and implement on-device solutions that power ad delivery across the App Store, Apple News and Stocks, and Apple Maps
Design, implement, and debug performant, privacy-preserving on-device components that operate at scale inside daemons, frameworks, and SDKs
Partner across engineering, product, and business to shape the roadmap for on-device ad delivery
