Job summary

Apple is hiring for a systems and platform engineer to build on-device ad infrastructure, including OS daemons, frameworks, and SDKs that fetch, rank, and filter ad candidates with privacy at the core.

This role focuses on cross-process communication, concurrency, and scalable privacy‑by‑design architecture, not UI development. Bachelor’s degree and strong CS fundamentals are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Solid grasp of OS fundamentals (processes/threads, memory, scheduling, file systems).
• Experience in a C-like language (Swift, Obj-C, Java, C++, C#, Go, Rust, etc.).
• Working understanding of concurrency basics and data structures/algorithms.
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate, take feedback, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop on-device ad systems and platform components.
• Work with cross-process communication and concurrency in a privacy‑by‑design framework.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure policy compliance and efficient ad ranking/filtering.
