Job summary

Glidewell Dental seeks an experienced systems engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise server, storage, and hyperconverged infrastructure. You will administer Nutanix AHV, Prism Central/Element, and capacity planning, while advancing automation with Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.

You will maintain IaC, support Windows and Linux servers, write automation, and contribute to DR planning. Collaboration with vendors and on-call coverage are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of experience with Windows Server and Linux Server operating systems, enterprise virtualization, storage, and backups.
• Minimum three years of hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV and Prism, or equivalent hyperconverged platform.
• Experience automating infrastructure at scale with Ansible, including inventory design, roles, and templates.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting with AD, Windows Server, and REST APIs.
• Working Python experience for automation, API integration, and tooling.
• Experience with AWS core services and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Experience with Git and source-controlled infrastructure code.
• Experience with enterprise backup/DR platforms such as Veeam, Rubrik, or Commvault.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tooling.
• Experience or strong knowledge with Docker and container orchestration; Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and Group Policy experience.
• Experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, install, and manage enterprise server, storage, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Administer Nutanix AHV environments, Prism Central/Element, growth, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Automate provisioning, patching, configuration, and remediation using Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.
• Maintain infrastructure as code and versioned playbooks in source control with peer review.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise systems, and support on-call production operations.
• Design and test backup, replication, and disaster recovery with restore testing.
• Mentor colleagues and raise automation and scripting skill levels within the team.
• Partner with Nutanix, Microsoft, and storage/backup vendors for deployments and support.
• Provide root-cause analysis for outages and deliver SOPs and runbooks.
