Job summary

Glidewell-Laboratories in Irvine, CA seeks a senior systems engineer to manage enterprise server, storage, and hyperconverged infrastructure. You will architect and operate Nutanix AHV/Prism environments and lead automation efforts using Ansible, PowerShell, and Python, while maintaining IaC and runbooks.

You will maintain backups and DR plans with Veeam, Rubrik, or Commvault, mentor staff, and provide on-call support to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, storage, and backups.
• 3+ years hands-on Nutanix AHV/Prism experience or equivalent hyperconverged platform experience.
• Automate infrastructure at scale with Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting against AD, Windows Server, and REST APIs.
• Working Python experience for automation and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architects, designs, configures, installs, and manages enterprise server, storage, and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Administers Nutanix AHV/Prism, upgrades, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning.
• Develops automation for provisioning, patching, configuration, and remediation using Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.
• Writes and maintains infrastructure as code and playbooks in source control with version history.
• Provides on-call support and mentors team members to raise automation skills.
