Dawar Consulting, recruiting on behalf of a world leader in life sciences, seeks a Systems Engineer II / Senior Systems Engineer to be based in Pleasanton, CA. The role focuses on integrating instruments, molecular diagnostic workflows, software, and data pipelines across multidisciplinary teams to advance next-generation diagnostic solutions.

Responsibilities include leading end-to-end system integration across workflows such as sample prep, library prep, qPCR, digital PCR, sequencing and data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on instrument and software troubleshooting/integration.
• Experience with IVD or molecular diagnostics.
• Knowledge of system testing, requirements, V&V, and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration across end-to-end diagnostic workflows.
• Define system requirements and contribute to V&V.
• Develop and execute test cases; analyze results.
• Troubleshoot system issues; manage defects and RCA.
• Create and maintain integration plans and verification docs.
• Identify opportunities for workflow automation and improvement.
• Collaborate with assay, software, hardware, bioinformatics teams.
