Job summary

Actalent invites a talented Systems Engineer (Level II/III) to join our team in Middletown, RI. The role focuses on requirements development, system documentation, and design reviews across the full lifecycle of complex electromechanical systems, including sonar and underwater tech.

Onsite with hybrid flexibility, you will work with a cross-functional group and engage customers to define requirements. We seek 2+ years (Level II) or 5+ years (Sr) of experience, with a degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years (Level II) or 5+ years (Sr) systems engineering experience.
• Experience with MBSE concepts and practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Strong documentation, requirements traceability and V&V.

Responsibilities

• Support system-level activities across full lifecycle from concept to production.
• Write and manage requirements, specifications, interface documents and test plans.
• Develop engineering processes and standards aligned with customer goals.
• Prepare documentation for SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR and TRR reviews.
• Collaborate with customers to define and refine system requirements.
• Identify and solve moderate-complexity engineering issues on schedule.
• Apply MBSE to improve traceability and design quality.
• Support architecture development, integration planning and risk management.
• Maintain requirements traceability and V&V across levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document status updates.
