Job summary

SciTec, a Firefly Aerospace subsidiary, has an immediate Boulder, CO opening for a Staff–Senior Systems Engineer with MOSA, microservices, and data processing experience. You will elaborate concepts, refine requirements, and design architectures to support a hardware/software data processing system with customer and SciTec teams.

Requirements include a STEM degree, at least 2 years in software engineering/HPC, MBSE and Cameo familiarity, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and eligibility for DoD work.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software engineering, HPC, or remote sensing data processing.
• Experience implementing IEEE 15288 systems engineering processes.
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering and Cameo Tool Suite.
• Previous experience leading technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, detail, and document operational concepts and stakeholder needs for MOSA hosting high‑performance data processing apps.
• Develop and analyze system requirements addressing stakeholder needs.
• Support design of architectures that meet requirements and align with customer concepts of operations.
• Coordinate with integration, verification, and test teams for verification and validation.
• Document concepts, needs, requirements, and architectures using MBSE tools.
• Possess ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
