Job summary

SciTec, a Boulder, Colorado-based defense contractor, seeks a Senior Staff/Senior Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and certify core capabilities for national defense. You will model and simulate complex sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence.

MBSE and IEEE 15288 guidance drive the work. The ideal candidate brings strong systems engineering discipline, experience interpreting standards, and the ability to translate requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physical sciences, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in engineering, computer science, or remote sensing.
• 2+ years in systems engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex technical information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply systems engineering processes aligned with IEEE 15288.
• Perform requirements derivation, decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
• Analyze ICDs and standards to provide implementation guidance to software teams.
• Support testing to verify system and software conformance.
• Mentor SciTec staff in systems engineering processes and best practices.
• Develop and maintain SE artifacts and certification evidence.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly through documentation and briefings.
