Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer, Mission Modeling Simulation - Level 6, to serve as a senior technical leader for MS&A efforts on missile/interceptor systems in Chandler, AZ. The role is 100% on site with strong preference for local candidates; remote consideration may be possible.

You will oversee model development, verification/validation, and analysis workflows, guiding design decisions and mentoring teams while communicating complex results to program leadership.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active US Government Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of related experience; or Master’s 12 years; or Ph.D. 10 years.
• Extensive experience in mission-level and system-level modeling and simulation for missile/interceptor or IADS.
• Proven experience leading complex MS&A efforts with scenario design and trade studies.
• Strong background with virtual simulation tools and mission-level operations analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and integration of mission-level and system-level models, simulations, and analyses of missiles, interceptors, sensors, and C2 systems.
• Direct operations and behavior analyses, mission effectiveness studies, and evaluate architecture alternatives.
• Define MS&A task plans, model development, verification/validation, and analysis workflows.
• Guide architecture trades using data-driven recommendations and sensitivity analyses.
• Mentor and technically lead engineering teams; interface with program leadership and customers.
• Support technical reviews and proposals, outlining MS&A approaches and mitigation strategies.
