Job summary

Ashburn Consulting LLC is seeking a mid to senior level Systems/Enterprise Engineer to support enterprise managed file transfer (MFT) operations, Linux, Windows, and cybersecurity tools in a hybrid environment around the Washington, DC area.

You will work on Axway MFT, cloud and on-premise systems, provide planning, cost estimation, and documentation, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure reliable, scalable enterprise data movement.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and supporting Rocky Linux 8.9/9.x and Windows Server 2022.
• 5+ years Linux administration and enterprise server/network experience.
• 3+ years in cloud environments with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
• IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK; AWS security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Linux servers, storage, enterprise infrastructure on-prem and in cloud.
• Administer and troubleshoot network, storage, server, application, and system issues.
• Support Axway MFT/ Secure Transport in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Handle secure file transfer workflows and data movement across partners.
• Prepare documentation, runbooks, and training materials; coordinate with teams and vendors.
