Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Technology team in Washington DC, supporting NBC4 and Telemundo Local 44. You will lead multi‑focus engineering projects, implement and support mission‑critical IT and media production systems, and manage cross‑functional initiatives.

The role requires onsite work, strong project management, and expertise in media tech including SDI/NDI/ST-2110. Opportunities to impact broadcast operations and enterprise IT are key highlights.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with minimum of 1 year Project Management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television & film, related fields or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with Manager of Technology to determine requirements, planning, and implementation of technical and workflow solutions for News, Production, and other station partners.
• Administration of media production applications, systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliability of technology and operations.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
• Provide technical support, incident response, and customer communication.
• Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of complex engineering projects from requirements to post-launch support, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
