Job summary

NBCUniversal in Washington DC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support NBC4 and Telemundo Local 44. You will drive implementation, support mission-critical media production and enterprise IT environments, and manage projects end-to-end with cross-functional teams.

The role requires at least five years of relevant experience including one year of project management, a bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or related field, and willingness to work evenings or weekends; onsite work in DC is

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with minimum of 1 year Project Management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television & film, related fields or equivalent experience.
• CCNA Certification is desirable and experience with Project Management tools such as Jira, Asana or similar.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Manager of Technology to determine requirements gathering, planning, and implementation of technical and workflow solutions for News, Production, Creative Services and other station partners.
• Administration of media production applications, systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliability of technology and operations.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
• Provide technical support, incident response, and customer communication.
• Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of complex engineering projects, from requirements gathering and technical design through implementation, testing, and post-launch support, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time and aligned with business objectives.
