Job summary

Company 3 in New York, NY seeks a Sr Systems Engineer focused on systems architecture and infrastructure, with image science and DaVinci Resolve workflow expertise. You will deploy Linux, MacOS, Windows, and SAN/NAS, design virtual infrastructure in Proxmox VE, and oversee color suites and streaming/remote-review platforms.

You'll partner with management to define requirements, support multi-site operations, and ensure high-availability IT services, while documenting procedures and contributing

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux shell scripting (or a similar scripting language).
• SAN/NAS Storage Administration (StorNext/Quantum or equivalent).
• Intermediate to advanced Linux administration skills.
• Strong networking proficiency for high-bandwidth media workflows.
• Willingness to respond after-hours, on weekends, and on holidays if needed.
• Experience with Linux automation (Ansible is a plus).
• Experience deploying and managing virtualization platforms, especially Proxmox VE.
• Familiarity with color science and professional color grading pipelines (DaVinci Resolve, Colorfront Transkoder).
• Experience with SDI/video routing and signal infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consult with users to determine hardware, software, and system specifications.
• Design, develop, document, and modify computer systems and programs per design specs.
• Design, deploy, and manage virtual infrastructure in Proxmox VE.
• Maintain and manage NY projectors and mastering monitors for image science workflows.
• Support color suites and workflow integration for grading systems.
• Configure streaming and remote-review platforms (Sohonet Pivot, DaVinci Remote Monitor).
• Provide technical management of servers and storage across data centers.
• Troubleshoot IT service issues across operating systems and servers.
• Install, configure, and monitor Linux, Windows, and macOS with applicable software.
• Support SDI infrastructure and video routing in post-production environments.
• Maintain documentation in Confluence and track work in Jira.
• Write procedures for the technical support staff.
