Job summary

ISUZU NORTH AMERICA CORPORATION in Plymouth, MI seeks an Engineer I or II to support ADK system engineering and MBSE work across vehicle interfaces and chassis.

The role focuses on developing requirements, traceability, and integration of safety, SOTIF, and cybersecurity considerations while collaborating with global teams and suppliers. Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in systems engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required; Master’s preferred
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in systems engineering, MBSE, automotive systems, or automated driving
• Foundational knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle processes and traceability
• Familiarity with MBSE and SysML modeling methods preferred
• Foundational knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262), SOTIF (ISO 21448), and automotive cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434) preferred
• Understanding of ADAS/AD or ADK concepts is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains ADK/ADS system requirements and traceability across ADK, vehicle interface and chassis
• Supports MBSE activities including architectural modeling and allocation of requirements
• Integrates functional safety, SOTIF and cybersecurity considerations into system artifacts
• Defines verification methods, pass/fail criteria, and risk-based testing plans
• Coordinates with suppliers and cross-functional teams; documents decisions and status
• Performs gap analyses and translates results into implementation workflows
