Job summary
ISUZU NORTH AMERICA CORPORATION in Plymouth, MI is seeking an experienced engineer to support OBD diagnostics and engine management systems for diesel powertrain applications. You will develop calibrations, validate strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance while guiding junior staff.
The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, analyzing diagnostic data, and contributing to model-year diagnostic requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in OBD systems, engine controls, calibration, or powertrain development.
Responsibilities
- Supports execution of OBD diagnostic development plans and project deliverables.
- Develops and maintains diagnostic calibration data for assigned powertrain programs.
- Supports communication of diagnostic requirements, program timing, and technical issues within the product development team.
- Participates in calibration comparison reviews and validation activities.
- Evaluates competitor vehicles and diagnostic systems for benchmarking purposes.
