Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego seeks a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer – Triton SEIT Development Lead to lead a 45–50 engineer SEIT team.

You will guide requirements, integration planning, cybersecurity, and system safety while coordinating with IPTs and customers. You will manage technical baselines, drive design decisions, and oversee cost/schedule performance, while pursuing continuous process improvements across SE disciplines and supporting bid/proposal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 14+ years of experience, or a Master's with 12+ years, or PhD with 10+ years.
• Experience executing Systems Engineering processes, full life cycle, and SETR.
• Experience in EVMS and leading a technical team of 10+ Equivalent Persons.
• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance or eligibility for SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Triton SEIT Development sub-IPT and manage ~45–50 engineers.
• Oversee requirements development, verification, test planning, cybersecurity, EMI/EMC, and safety.
• Coordinate with Chief Engineer and IPTs to drive design, timelines and risks.
• Manage cost and schedule performance, write and bid future capability work.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship across multiple SE disciplines.
