Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Systems Engineer or emerging people leader to own full SE development cycles for New Glenn, including requirements, analysis, design, and verification. You will lead cross‑functional teams, coordinate trades, and drive schedule and milestones while maintaining program health metrics.

The role requires strong Python skills plus familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and LLM applications, plus excellent communication for program‑level reviews and decision memos.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (M.S. strongly preferred).
• 5–10 years of systems engineering experience with progression in scope and complexity.
• Expertise across the full SE development cycle (concept, requirements, design, analysis, integration, safety, CM, V&T).
• Familiarity with two or more related functional areas (structures, fluids, avionics, SW, GNC, etc.).
• Advanced SE tools proficiency (DOORS/DNG, ETM, Windchill, Cameo).
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive multi‑subsystem integration.
• Strong Python programming; experience with AI/ML or LLM development.
• Excellent program-level communication and decision memo writing.
• Management track: demonstrated people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and support resolution of cross-subsystem integration problems and drive architecture inputs.
• Support system integration campaigns for a vehicle section and elevate anomalies with solutions.
• Develop and maintain system architecture artifacts and interface definitions.
• Assist in verification campaigns and contribute to verification closure packages.
• Develop and maintain subsystem specifications with lifecycle accountability.
• Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and architecture development across subsystems.
• Contribute to design reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) as SE contributor under lead direction.
• Support interface conflict resolution and track corrective actions to closure.
• Participate in TIMs, IRBs, CRBs, and SATs with assigned action items and risk mitigation.
