Job summary

Las Vegas Sands is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our IT systems, building a robust computing infrastructure with strong cybersecurity and monitoring. The role includes leading a team, providing expert support for servers and software, and ensuring reliable operations across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 5 years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience with server administration, virtualization, V-SAN, backup & recovery, Azure/Intune and cloud services.
• Scripting or programming skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Proficiency in desktop OS, Active Directory and productivity apps.
• Itinerant security and data privacy knowledge; ITIL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT systems and compute infrastructure.
• Provide expert-level technical support for servers, hardware, and software; act as escalation point.
• Maintain and repair technology equipment including PCs, printers, and AV systems.
• Configure OS installations, upgrades, and security patches; monitor systems for availability and performance.
• Lead and mentor the technical support team and foster a collaborative environment.
