Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in California is seeking a Systems Engineer III to lead requirements engineering, system integration, MBSE, and V&V efforts. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture/design development and lifecycle management across multi-domain projects.

The role requires strong collaboration, advanced modeling skills, and experience with DOORS/Cameo/MATLAB. A hybrid work setup with occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems/ Electrical/ Mechanical engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; V&V principles.

Responsibilities

• Handle advanced tasks in requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and MBSE.
• Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management efforts.
• Take on significant project responsibilities and guide junior engineers.
• Demonstrate expertise in architecture/design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively to drive project success.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
