Job summary

Melaleuca: The Wellness Company in Idaho Falls seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer II to optimize enterprise infrastructure worldwide. The role emphasizes automation, reliability, and scaling, with strong Linux, Ansible, Python, and PowerShell skills.

Cloud platform experience is a plus, and this is a home-based, Idaho/Utah resident position. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in enterprise systems engineering and hands-on Linux expertise, plus familiarity with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5 or more years of practical professional experience in enterprise systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
Strong hands on expertise with Linux in enterprise environments.
Proven experience designing and implementing automation using Ansible.
Working knowledge of Python and PowerShell for scripting and automation.
Experience supporting enterprise server environments and data center infrastructure.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to design practical and scalable solutions.
Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Must currently reside in Idaho or Utah. This is a home based role.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the Global Systems Team, addressing strategic initiatives and supporting systems worldwide
Design, implement, and maintain Linux based systems and automation frameworks using Ansible
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling leveraging Ansible, Python, and PowerShell
Install, configure, and maintain complex IT infrastructure including hardware, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and data protection solutions
Manage and optimize cloud based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments
Respond to IT incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level agreements
Develop and maintain technical documentation and ensure standard operating procedures remain accurate and current
Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and security
