Qualifications

Position Overview:

The Sr. Systems Engineer II is a senior level role within the Global Systems Team, responsible for supporting and optimizing enterprise infrastructure across worldwide operations. This position plays a critical role in automation, system reliability, and infrastructure scalability. We are specifically seeking a candidate with strong Linux and Ansible expertise. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of Python and PowerShell, with experience in cloud platforms considered a strong advantage. This role requires someone who is technically deep, automation focused, and comfortable operating in a global enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of the Global Systems Team, addressing strategic initiatives and supporting systems worldwide


• Design, implement, and maintain Linux based systems and automation frameworks using Ansible


• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling leveraging Ansible, Python, and PowerShell


• Install, configure, and maintain complex IT infrastructure including hardware, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and data protection solutions


• Manage and optimize cloud based infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments


• Respond to IT incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level agreements


• Develop and maintain technical documentation and ensure standard operating procedures remain accurate and current


• Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure performance, scalability, and security

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience


• 5 or more years of practical professional experience in enterprise systems engineering or infrastructure roles


• Strong hands on expertise with Linux in enterprise environments


• Proven experience designing and implementing automation using Ansible


• Working knowledge of Python and PowerShell for scripting and automation


• Experience supporting enterprise server environments and data center infrastructure


• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to design practical and scalable solutions


• Strong communication, prioritization, and organizational skills


• Must currently reside in Idaho or Utah. This is a home based role.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud


• Experience with VMware virtualization platforms and Microsoft Active Directory


• Experience with enterprise communication systems such as Exchange or Microsoft 365


• Experience with storage arrays and enterprise data protection solutions


• Relevant industry certifications such as Linux, AWS, Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco
