Akima Data Management (ADM) seeks a System Engineer II to join our Washington, DC team. You will administer Windows servers, manage Active Directory, and maintain infrastructure across storage, virtualization, and network systems.

Expect collaboration on DoD compliance programs, STIG and ACAS usage, and high-uptime network support. The role requires DoD clearance and strong TCP/IP expertise in an enterprise setting.

Formación

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• 5–7 years of Systems Engineering or related field experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 10 years of documented relevant experience.
• Minimum DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification.
• VMware certification aligned with current and future needs.
• Senior knowledge of TCP/IP network design, Cisco gear, LAN/WLAN, routing, subnetting.
• Experience producing and maintaining network drawings and diagrams.
• Experience installing and configuring network applications.
• Experience monitoring networks with all assets.
• Experience delivering 99.999% uptime for utility networks.
• Experience documenting configurations for hardware, software, and network OSs.
• Experience SDN design with TCP/IP.
• Experience communicating technical info to diverse audiences.
• Experience developing day-to-day operations processes and procedures.
• Experience task automation with scripting.
• Experience applying STIGs and patching across servers/workstations.
• Experience using ACAS to manage information security requirements.
• Experience supporting DIARMF.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and administer Windows Servers and operating systems.
• Oversee systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation, and support.
• Design, implement, and maintain hardware/software infrastructures.
• Monitor performance and proactively identify issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support for utility network operations to target high uptime.
• Develop and document day-to-day operational processes.
• Implement systems as required by network application needs.
• Manage AD, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, SCCM, and HBSS.
• Support VMware ESX/VSphere virtualization with design and management.
• Provide SAN support and installation support for network applications.
• Create network architecture drawings and schematics for clarity.
• Perform comprehensive network monitoring of all assets.
• Maintain workstation and server images for consistency.
• Ensure HBSS virus definitions and STIG compliance across assets.
• Use ACAS to track information security requirements.
• Support DIARMF activities as needed.
