Job summary

Qumulo is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join a small IT team responsible for deploying and maintaining the infrastructure that supports engineering efforts. You will manage Active Directory, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, containers, and cloud services across AWS, GCP, and Azure, with autonomy to set standards and drive improvements.

You will automate repetitive tasks, plan backups and DR, define SLAs, and document configurations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Solid storage knowledge: SAN, NAS, NFS, SMB, iSCSI.
• Experience with virtualization and container environments.
• Experience across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Strong automation using Python, Bash, and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain systems: network devices, storage, servers, VMs, containers, and cloud services.
• Administer AD, Windows and Linux servers and monitoring stack.
• Automate repetitive work using Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• Plan and run backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Set and communicate SLAs for internal users.
• Write and maintain internal documentation.
• Run audits and enforce security best practices.
• Act as technical lead on hard problems and improve IT standards.
