Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer for Home Standby Systems Engineering. You will act as a senior systems integrator, unifying mechanical, electronic, and embedded firmware subsystems into a complete product.

Collaborate with radio, controller, engine, manufacturing, and applications teams to define, document, manage, and verify system requirements. You will leverage Codebeamer for requirements tracking and drive technical direction through completion, mentoring

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in systems engineering or integration for complex electromechanical products.

Responsibilities

Serve as systems integrator for Home Standby products across mechanical, electrical and embedded firmware subsystems.
Define interfaces, gather needs, document and manage system-level requirements.
Develop and maintain system architecture, diagrams and interface documents.
Lead design reviews and cross-functional decision making throughout product lifecycle.
Apply DFMEA and DVP&R to identify risks and validation coverage.
