Senior Systems Engineer, High-Assurance Crypto

Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications is seeking a Systems Engineer to architect, implement, and certify high-assurance cryptographic systems used by DoD, NATO, and allies. In this role you will contribute to cryptographic IA architectures, certification artifacts, and fielded networks.

Lead modern embedded solutions, including Rust-based designs, and support NSA High Assurance certification processes from requirements through fielding and sustainment.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 7+ years experience in related field with multi-disciplined team.
• Experience in full lifecycle product development in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Understanding of the DoD Acquisition Process for Engineering & Manufacturing Development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience with Enterprise Requirements Management Tools (e.g., DOORS, Visure).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong writing abilities.
• Ability to interact with customers and contract representatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform System Requirements Analysis to satisfy stakeholder needs.
• Perform System Architecture and Design Synthesis from Requirements.
• Support milestone design reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR) with materials and presentations.
• Conduct/Support verification and validation, including testing.
• Create and deliver Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) (SSS, SHRS, IRS, IDD, ICD, KCMA/KCMP, SED, Test Plans, SVPP, User Manuals, White Papers).
• Assist PM/PE with programmatic documentation for planning and execution.
• Support technical direction, guidance, and development on projects.
• Collaborate with Business Development for strategic growth.
• Manage deadlines and priorities; provide problem-solving skills.
