Job summary

Ultra ProLogic seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to architect and implement high‑assurance cryptographic systems used by DoD and allied partners. You will contribute to cryptographic IA architectures, certification artifacts, and fielded systems within a high‑performance team.

The role emphasizes security‑critical software, memory‑safe design, and transitioning from C to Rust, with ~5% travel for tests and interactions.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience in C and/or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for cryptographic/security platforms in C and Rust.
• Architect cryptographic IA software with defined security boundaries and trusted services.
• Support NSA High Assurance certification including artifacts, reviews, and milestones.
• Develop and maintain documentation like Requirements, ICDs, and Design Descriptions.
• Perform unit/integration/acceptance testing including hardware-in-the-loop.
