Job summary

Empower AI is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Department of State with enterprise IT infrastructure, hybrid VPC, and global IT services. You will design upgrades, modernize storage/networking, manage AD and Exchange, and ensure secure, scalable operations in NCR and domestic facilities.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in IT, a Secret clearance, and a Bachelor's in IT or related field. Travel up to 25% may be required; CompTIA Sec+ and ITIL4 are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in IT or related field.
• Secret Security Clearance required.
• Preferred: CompTIA Sec+ and ITIL4 Foundation Certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise IT infrastructure for the DoS customer.
• Design upgrades and modernization of the enterprise environment.
• Manage AD domains, authentication, and authorization across NCR and domestic facilities.
• Provide backup services for servers and data centers with audit processes.
• Operate MS Exchange clusters and mail infrastructure in data centers.
• Coordinate DNS, DHCP, and infrastructure deployments with customer DoS requirements.
