Empower AI is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and evolve the global network infrastructure for the Department of State. You will work on complex engineering tasks and collaborate with vendors to assess new equipment and services, while guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in IT or networking.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• CCNP Certification required.
• Secret Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve the network and supporting systems for the global network infrastructure.
• Research, evaluate and document new products and tools.
• Plan for network expansion and interact with vendors for equipment and services.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems on Tier 2 and incident tickets of all priorities.
• Serve as a high-level escalation point for Network Administrators.
• Develop and execute complex implementation plans for network upgrades.
• Document new network elements and guide junior staff.
