Job summary

SOSI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Honolulu to shape C2 IT solutions at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. You will support over 5,000 users across the Pacific, lead enterprise infrastructure and private cloud initiatives, and ensure compliance with Zero Trust and data-centric security principles.

You will collaborate with senior DoD personnel and deliver executive briefings. The role emphasizes complex project leadership, mentorship of operations staff, and 24/7 readiness to support

Qualifications

• Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Info Systems/Cyber Security, Computer Engineering or similar with 5+ years of relevant experience (or 9+ years in enterprise DoD environments).
• DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant certifications (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
• Experience with Windows or Linux enterprise services (Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/BIND, DHCP, SQL).
• Ability to obtain DoD secure system certifications and work in classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, and roadmap ZTA solutions.
• Assess and roadmap Data Centric Security implementations.
• Provide technical recommendations and briefings to leadership.
• Lead complex projects, upgrades, and integrations for Enterprise capabilities.
• Mentor Systems Operations staff on administration best practices.
