Job summary

SOSi seeks an experienced Network Administrator to join the Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam team in Honolulu, Hawaii. You will monitor, maintain, and ensure network availability for 5,000+ users across the Pacific theater, adhering to DoD regulations and SOPs.

Responsibilities include configuring Cisco devices, managing security (CSfC, Taclane), VDI, CUCM, and VTCs, and collaborating with cross-domain teams to deliver reliable, high‑impact IT solutions.

Qualifications

• Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility and US Passport.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Networking, or 6+ years of network administration experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP).
• Obtain Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within 6 months.
• Strong knowledge in Cisco routers, switches, ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, CSfC, Taclane encryption methods, VDI environments, Cross‑Domain Solutions, CUCM, and VTCs.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards including STIGs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, adapt to changing network requirements, and effectively communicate with POCs and customers.
• Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.
• Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Configures and maintains Cisco routers, switches, ASAs, Taclane encryption devices, and Cisco VoIP systems to support efficient data flow within the network, while following SOPs/TTPs.
• Supports and troubleshoots eBGP routing within a Palo Alto environment.
• Implements and provides oversight of CSfC and Taclane encryption methods to protect sensitive data.
• Provides essential support in the maintenance of VDI environments, ensuring secure user access.
• Manages Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), VTC systems, and other Cisco VoIP systems for reliable communications.
• Reviews and troubleshoots network transport and protocol issues.
• Collaborates with the Cross-Domain Solutions team to facilitate secure information sharing across security domains.
• Participates in project coordination with the project management team for successful execution.
• Liaises with POCs and customers to understand network needs and provide solutions.
• Follows guidance from Network Operations Lead/Deputy/Operations Manager and adheres to SOPs.
