Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency’s C2BMC program, delivering integrated FMS CDS capabilities. You will guide system evolution from concept to fielding, working across U.S. and foreign partner programs with data-driven analysis and strategic briefings.

Role requires active Secret clearance and willingness to travel, with at least four days on-site. Join MITRE to contribute to critical national security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years of systems engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience collaborating with interagency government, contractor and vendor teams.
• Experience with elicitation of requirements, design, development, test and evaluation of C4I systems.
• Experience leading FMS cases between US and foreign partners.
• Ability to perform data-driven analyses to inform decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to brief leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical systems engineering tasks such as integration, testing, and V&V.
• Inform development, test evaluation, and integration for C4I concepts of operations.
• Build partnerships across MITRE, industry, and government programs.
• Develop technical reports and presentations on analysis results and recommendations.
• Present technical recommendations to government sponsors for acquisition strategy.
• Brief senior leadership on FMS CDS technology, architecture, and policy.
• Lead IER Working Groups with CCMDs and Foreign Partners on data flows.
• Provide SME engineering support on RFP development and procurement activities.
