Job summary

Andros Innovations Incorporated seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to bridge lab design and industrial build of a low-pressure ammonia synthesis platform. You will own BoP integration with thermal management, gas handling, and safety systems for autonomous operation.

You will lead mechanical design in SolidWorks, develop P&IDs/PFDs, and collaborate on control logic and safety reviews. A strong background in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and compliant engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Systems Engineering with 5+ years of hardware experience.
• Deep understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics in compressible gas systems.
• Expertise in SolidWorks and maintaining revision-controlled P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Architect the System: Own P&IDs and PFDs, define mass and energy balances for efficient operation.
• BoP Selection: Size and source compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, sensors.
• Skid Design & Build: Lead mechanical design of pilot skids in SolidWorks and oversee fabrication.
• Thermal & Fluid Management: Design cooling/heating loops and model fluid dynamics to minimize pressure drops.
• Controls Integration: Define PLC logic with electrical engineers; translate process needs into specs.
• Safety Leadership: Lead HAZOP/LOPA reviews and ensure ASME B31.3 and ammonia safety compliance.
