Job summary

MANTECH seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD. You will support enterprise infrastructure for a global workforce, working with IPTs and vendors to ensure delivery and security of EIT capabilities across data center and compute services.

Responsibilities include datacenter leadership, asset tracking, network design and firewall implementation, and administration of VMware, NetApp, Linux, Windows, and macOS environments. A TS/SCI clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of Systems Engineer experience, or equivalent.
• IAM II certification (DoD 8140) required; CCNA-Security/CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP acceptable.
• Working knowledge of VMware – vCenter, ESXi, VSAN, NSX.
• NetApp – Cluster, SAN knowledge.
• Networking – Firewall, Switches, Wireless.
• Operating Systems – Linux, Windows, Mac OSX.
• Familiar with data center power, space and cooling design and configuration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineer maintaining datacenters containing multi-domain, cross-platform networks.
• Track location, assets, OS, maintenance, retirement/consolidation and purchasing for racks and networking gear.
• Install, configure and support mobile cellular and wireless networks incl. switches, routers, gateways, and servers.
• Administer VMware ESXi servers, vCloud director, NetApp Storage, and cellular/wireless networks.
• Design, implement and configure 2G/3G/4G LTE cellular networks.
• Install and implement network firewalls and provide testing support.
• Manage workstation and server environments including remote connectivity, DNS, and account administration for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Lead medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects.
