Job summary

Inductive Automation is seeking a Senior System Administrator to design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, security and reliability across critical services.

The role is full-time with on-site and hybrid options. Typical qualifications include 4–7 years of IT experience and strong knowledge of Linux/Windows/MacOS, virtualization, containers, and IaC tooling.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of IT (system, network, or database admin)
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, or MacOS
• Experience with configuration management tools (Intune, JAMF, Ansible, etc)
• Proficiency with virtualization and containers (VMware, Proxmox, Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
• IaC experience (Terraform, etc)
• Knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery
• System admin certifications are a plus
• Must be able to come into the office as needed

Responsibilities

• Administering, installing, and troubleshooting operating systems
• Performing system maintenance: backup, recovery, file maintenance
• Scheduling, installing, testing system software upgrades
• Configuring software and resolving issues
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability
• Managing user accounts and access controls per policy
• Developing and maintaining configuration documentation
• Collaborating with teams to support deployment and troubleshooting
• Providing mentorship to junior admins
• Staying current with trends to enhance performance
• Developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures
