Job summary

Inductive Automation, LLC is seeking a Senior System Administrator to design, implement, maintain, and support our IT infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, security, and reliability across our systems.

The role involves 4–7 years of relevant experience, on-site availability with hybrid options, and mentorship to junior staff. Join a company focused on automation innovation and employee growth.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of IT experience in system, network, or database administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, or MacOS.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Intune, JAMF, Ansible, etc.).
• Experience with virtualization and containers (VMware, Proxmox, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.).
• Knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery.
• System administration certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or related fields are a plus.
• Must be able to come into the office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administering, installing, and troubleshooting a variety of operating systems.
• Performing system maintenance tasks, such as backups, recovery, and file maintenance.
• Scheduling, installing, and testing system software upgrades.
• Configuring software and resolving technical problems.
• Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliability of critical services.
• Managing user accounts, permissions and access controls per security policies.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for configurations, processes and procedures.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support deployment and troubleshooting.
• Providing mentorship to junior system administrators.
• Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Assisting in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.
