Job summary

You will drive system and software development across the SDLC with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include requirements capture, subsystem architecture, test planning, documentation, and mentoring engineers. A security clearance is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Computer/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years with systems engineering background and lifecycle knowledge.
• 2+ years in system engineering principles incl. requirements, modeling, verification.
• 2+ years in C programming and Assembly familiarity.
• 2+ years writing system & software test procedures.
• Experience with embedded software in systems (1+ year).
• Familiarity with DOORS and JIRA.
• Experience translating customer requirements to technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and represent the organization on technical aspects of projects.
• Coordinate system-level requirements across teams and subcontractors.
• Support task estimation and planning.
• Create design review materials and communicate decisions.
• Adhere to budgets and schedules.
• Mentor lower-level engineers.
• Develop subsystem architecture artifacts and timing diagrams.
• Prepare system and subsystem specifications.
• Create tests to validate requirements.
• Document according to internal/customer standards.
• Identify risks and plan mitigations.
• Engage in SDLC process improvements.
• Collaborate across multi-discipline teams.
• Travel up to ~10% and support security clearance processes.
